Forest Defense Action Base Camp Sept. 7th-10th

Humboldt County forest defenders are planning a camp-out beginning a week from now. (setup on the 6th)

There will be numerous skillshares offered and oppurtunities to participate in non-violent direct action in the forest. There are two ongoing tree-sit villages in giant ancient redwoods threatened by Pacific Lumber.

Skillshares/workshops will include;

-Non-violent direct action
-Backwoods action/survival skills
-Tree climbing
-Plant identification hike

Check out Humboldt Forest Defense blog for more info.

Forest defenders seek an end to Maxxam/ Pacific Lumbers exploitation of our forests and an end to Oldgrowth logging, herbicide spraying, clearcutting and logging on unstable slopes.

Pacific Lumber is in bankruptcy and the future of the company is uncertain, we want Maxxam out of the picture and to see sustainable forestry implemented on these lands and all of the forests in our region.

please call 707-845-9046 or email for more info.
