What Now for Freshwater and Elk River?

The Regional Water Quality Control Board has issued permits to allow limited logging in the heavily damaged watersheds. This consists of approximatly 144 acres in freshwater and 380+ in Elk River. Pacific Lumber has already notified CDF of their intent to log three major logging plans in this area. The plans, Second Serving, Magnum Opus and John Doe have not even been approved yet. They also say they plan to log in three other plans in the Elk River that contain Oldgrowth Redwoods. More detailed info on these plans will be provided here soon. Logging of these plans is emminent.
